Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet has inspired some of the most beautiful and powerful music ever written. In this unique performance, Boston Brass and Turtle Island String Quartet, two power-houses in the chamber music world, along with piano, and percussion, offer new arrangements that depict a journey of intense passion and tell Shakespeare’s tragic love story. The program includes Kabalevsky’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’, Prokofiev’s ‘Romeo and Juliet Suite’, a selection of ‘Juliet Letters’ by Elvis Costello and Bernstein’s thrilling ‘West Side Story Suite”.
